CURTAIN

Curtain Magazine is an online publication put together by art writer and critic Cristina Sanchez-Kozyreva. Launched in January 2020 by Artpool, a digital platform for curators, the magazine operates with an independent editorial from the Artpool.

At its core, Curtain seeks to provide exceptional insight into the lives and practices of art curators worldwide.

The magazine addresses fundamental questions about curators, shedding light on the multifaceted roles they play within the dynamic world of contemporary art and exhibition-making.

Who are curators? How do they become curators? How do they work? What strategies do they employ? What books inspire them, and what drinks do they enjoy? Curtain delves into these questions with curiosity and a touch of wit.
